What is a 28-day billing cycle?

A 28-day cycle is our billing period for long-term rentals. The price stays the same whether the unit stays 10 days or all 28 days in that cycle. Each cycle includes 4 weekly service visits. The card on file is billed automatically at the start of each new cycle.

Calendar months run 28 to 31 days, which makes bills jump around. A 28-day cycle keeps every bill the same size and lines up with weekly service: four visits, every cycle.

Only the first 28-day cycle carries the one-time delivery fee. Every cycle after that is the cycle price alone.

There is no fee to remove the unit at the end. The porta potty rental cost guide lists starting prices for each unit.

What does a 28-day calendar look like?

A unit delivered on March 3 has cycle 1 running March 3 to March 30, cycle 2 from March 31 to April 27, and cycle 3 from April 28 to May 25. A pickup on May 10 falls in cycle 3, so cycle 3 is the last cycle billed.

2Mar 31 – Apr 27Mar 31 (cycle price)4
3Apr 28 – May 25Apr 28 (cycle price)Visits until pickup on May 10

In this sample, the renter pays three cycles and one delivery fee. Nothing else is billed after the May 10 pickup.

What does weekly service include?

Every rental of 7 days or more gets 1 service visit per week at no extra charge. Each visit includes 5 steps: pump the tank, wash and sanitize the inside, refill the blue deodorizer, restock toilet paper and refill hand sanitizer. The technician also checks the door and latch.

Clean interior of a standard unit after a weekly service visit
  1. Pump the 60-gallon waste tank to empty.
  2. Pressure wash and sanitize the seat, walls, floor and urinal.
  3. Add fresh water and blue deodorizer to the tank.
  4. Restock toilet paper and refill the hand sanitizer.
  5. Check the door, latch and vents, and report any damage.

Hand wash stations get refilled with fresh water, soap and paper towels on the same visit. Long-term waste loads go only to approved disposal sites under SCDES Regulation 61-56.1.

When should I add extra service visits?

Add an extra service visit when 10 or more people use one unit each day, or during June through August heat. Anderson's average July high is 90.7°F, and heat speeds up odor. Extra visits are added to the cycle bill at a quoted rate per visit.

SituationOur recommendation
1 to 9 daily users, any seasonWeekly service is enough
10 or more daily users, fall to springWeekly service, or add a second unit
10 or more daily users, June to August2 visits per week
Food handling on siteAdd a hand wash station with weekly refill

Our post on summer heat and servicing explains why July units need more care. Every-other-week service is not offered, because a unit left two weeks gets unsanitary fast.

How do I stop billing and schedule pickup?

Call or text (864) 209-8789 to schedule pickup. Billing stops with the cycle that contains the pickup date, and no removal fee is charged. Pickup happens Monday through Saturday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and you do not need to be there.

  1. Call or text with your address and the day you want the unit gone.
  2. We confirm the pickup date by text.
  3. Leave a clear path to the unit.
  4. The driver pumps and loads the unit.
  5. No new cycle is billed after pickup.
Done early? Schedule pickup any time.

The cycle already paid covers the days used. The full billing rules are on our rental terms page.

Who uses a long-term porta potty?

Long-term porta potties serve 4 main groups: families rebuilding a home, farms with field crews, businesses with a plumbing outage, and construction sites. Each group keeps the unit at least 7 days. Each group gets the same 28-day cycle with weekly service included.

What should a business do when water or plumbing goes out?

A business with a water shutoff or broken plumbing needs restrooms within hours, not days. Call by noon for same-day delivery inside our 6-county Upstate route area. Deluxe units with an interior sink, or standard units with a hand wash station, keep staff and customers covered until repairs finish.

  1. Count staff and daily customers who need a restroom.
  2. Pick units with sinks if food or customers are involved.
  3. Place units near a side or back entrance, on pavement.
  4. Keep the rental on a 28-day cycle until the plumber signs off.
  5. Call or text for pickup the day the water comes back.

Restaurants and food shops should check with their health inspector about temporary restrooms. Our deluxe flushing unit has a foot-pump flush and a sink with its own fresh-water tank, so no hookup is needed.

What does OSHA 1928.110 mean for a farm rental?

OSHA 1928.110 applies to farms with 11 or more hand laborers in the field on any given day. The rule calls for 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility for each 20 workers, within a quarter-mile walk. Field work of 3 hours or less, including travel, is exempt.

A towable unit on a trailer moves with the crew from field to field. That keeps the quarter-mile rule easy to meet on big farms.

  • 21 to 40 workers need 2 toilets and 2 handwashing stations under the rule.
  • Toilets and handwashing should sit close to each other.
  • Our recommendation: add a second weekly visit during summer harvest.

Read the full text in OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110. Treat this farm summary as general information, not legal advice. The OSHA toilet requirements guide covers construction rules too.

Questions renters ask before booking

What's the monthly rate for a standard unit?

A standard unit starts at $155 per 28-day cycle with weekly service included. A one-time delivery fee starting at $45 comes with the first cycle. Tax shows as its own line, and your itemized quote is final.

If I only need it for 2 to 3 weeks, do I pay for the full month?

A rental of 2 to 3 weeks pays one 28-day cycle, starting at $155 plus the first-cycle delivery fee starting at $45. The cycle price is the same for 10 days or 28 days. Weekly service is included the whole time.

What does it cost after the first month?

After the first cycle, a standard unit costs the cycle price alone, starting at $155 per 28 days. The delivery fee only applies once. Wheelchair-accessible units start at $210 per cycle, and the itemized quote is final.

Only one person uses it. Can I get cleaning every other week for less?

Service stays weekly on every long-term rental, even with one user. A unit left for two weeks gets unsanitary and smells, especially in summer. Weekly service is already part of the cycle price.

We need a unit at our shop indefinitely. Is there a contract length?

Long-term rentals have no set end date. The unit stays as long as you need it, and the card or approved business account is billed each 28-day cycle. Call or text when you want it picked up.

Do I pay a removal fee when you pick it up?

Pickup carries no removal fee. Billing simply stops with the cycle that contains the pickup date.

Can my business pay by check instead of a card?

For long-term jobs, approved business accounts can pay by check or ACH. Homeowners and new accounts pay by credit or debit card, and long-term rentals bill each 28-day cycle.
